- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan keterampilan proses terhadap hasil belajar IPA ditinjau dari motivasi berprestasi siswa kelas VI SD Gugus 1 Kuta tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Penelitian ini melibatkan populasi sebanyak 285 siswa yang diwakili oleh 94 siswa sebagai sampel. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Posttest Only-Control Group dan menggunakan rancangan analisis faktorial 2x2. Data motivasi berprestasi dikumpulkan dengan metode koesioner dan data hasil belajar IPA diukur dengan tes objektif. Hasil analisis varian dua jalan menunjukkan bahwa : (1) hasil belajar IPA siswa yang mengikuti pendekatan keterampilan proses lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran berpendekatan Direct Instruction, (2) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara pendekatan pembelajaran dengan motivasi berprestasi siswa, (3) untuk siswa yang memilki motivasi berprestasi tinggi, hasil belajar IPA yang mengikuti pendekatan keterampilan proses lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran berpendekatan Direct Instruction, dan (4) untuk siswa yang memiliki motivasi berprestasi rendah, hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang yang mengikuti pembelajaran berpendekatan Direct Instruction lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang mengikuti pendekatan keterampilan proses.Kata Kunci : Hasil Belajar IPA, Motivasi Berprestasi, dan Pendekatan Keterampilan Proses This research aims to investigate the effect of process skill approach towards science learning outcomes viewed from achievement motivation of the sixth grade students in cluster I Kuta in the academic year 2014/2015. Population in this research were 285 students and 94 students were selected as sample using random sampling technique. Design of this research was Posttest Only-Control Group Design. Achievement motivation data were collected using questionnaire and science learning outcomes data were collected using objective test. Data were analyzed by using Two Way ANOVA. The results show that: First, science learning outcomes in students who followed process skill approach was higher than students who followed Direct Instruction learning approach. Second, there was an interaction effect between learning approach and achievement motivation toward science learning outcomes. Third, for students who had high achievement motivation, science learning outcomes of students who followed process skill approach were higher than students who followed Direct Instruction learning approach. Fourth, for students who had low achievement motivation, science learning outcomes of students who followed process skill approach were higher than students who followed Direct Instruction learning approach.keyword : achievement motivation, process skill approach, science learning outcomes
