- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran STM dan model pembelajaran konvensional berdasarkan tingkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa serta interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini mengunakan rancangan faktorial 2x2. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas V SD Muhammadiyah 2 Denpasar tahun ajaran 2013/2014, dengan sampel sebanyak 56 siswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah random sampling. Data kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar IPA diperoleh melalui tes kemudian dianalisis menggunakan ANAVA dua jalur dan dilanjutkan dengan tes Tukey. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran STM dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional dimana FAhitung = 27.189 > Ftabel = 4.49, (2) Terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran STM dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa terhadap hasil belajar IPA dimana FABhitung = 79.904 > Ftabel = 4.49, (3) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar IPA siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi yang mengikuti model pembelajaran STM dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional dimana (Q-hitung = 16.047 > Q-tabel = 4.11), (4) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar IPA siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah yang mengikuti model pembelajaran STM dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional dimana (Q-hitung = 4.23 > Q-tabel = 4.11).Kata Kunci : Hasil Belajar IPA, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis, Model Pembelajaran Sains Teknologi Masyarakat This research aims to investigate the difference of natural science learning achievement between students who followed the STS learning model and students who followed conventional learning model based on their achievement critical thinking ability and interaction between learning model with critical thinking ability. This research used factorial 2x2 design. The populations in research were all fifth grade students of Muhammadiyah Elementary School 2 Denpasar academic year 2013/214, with a sample amount of 56 students. Sampling technique used was random sampling. The data of students critical thinking ability and natural science learning achievement were collected using test which is analysed by using Two Way ANOVA and is continoued by Tukey test. The research result shows that: (1) there is a significant difference of natural science learning achievement between students who followed STS learning model and conventional learning model in which FA count = 27.189 > Ftable = 4.49, (2) there is an interaction impact between STS learning model with students critical thinking ability toward the natural science learning achievement in which FAB count = 79.904 > Ftable = 4.49, (3) there is a significant difference between the students natural science learning achievement who have high critical thinking and followed STS learning model with those who followed conventional learning model in which (Q-hitung = 16.047 > Q-tabel = 4.11), (4) there is a significant difference between the students natural science learning achievement who have low critical thinking ability and followed STS learning model with those who followed conventional learning model in which (Q-hitung = 4.23 > Q-tabel = 4.11).keyword : Critical Thinking Ability, Natural Science Study Achievement, Society Technology Science Learning Model
