  • Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan dasar sosial dan sikap mandiri anak kelompok B TK Kumara Satya Darma Tahun ajaran 2013/2014 setelah diimplementasikan media lingkungan dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian dilaksanakan dua siklus dengan subjek sebanyak 28 orang siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi untuk melihat kemampuan dasar sosial dan sikap mandiri anak. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan dasar sosial dan sikap mandiri anak. Hal ini terlihat dari tingkat ketuntasan anak dalam kemampuan sosial anak pada awal siklus sebesar 0,00%, siklus I sebesar 64,29%, meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 100%. Terjadi pula peningkatan sikap mandiri anak. Di mana pada awal siklus sebesar 0%, pada siklus I meningkat sebesar 67,86%, dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 100%.Kata Kunci : media lingkungan, kemampuan dasar sosial, sikap mandiri. This Classroom Action Research aims at finding out the improvement of social basic competency and self-independence of the students in B Group of Kumara Satya Darma Kindergarten in the academic year of 2013/2014 after implementing environmental media in the learning process. The study was conducted in two cycles with 28 students as the subjects. The data collection was done by using observation method in order to investigate students’ social basic competence and self-independence. The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistic. The result shows that there is an improvement of students’ social basic competency and self-independence. It can be seen on children’s improvement in social basic competency and self-independence. For social basic competency, in the pre-observation, none of the children could pass the expected standard, 64,29% could pass the standard on cycle I, and it increased to 100% in cycle II. For children self-independence, in the pre-observation, none of the children could pass the expected standard, 67,86%, could pass the standard on cycle I, and it increased to 100% children in cycle IIkeyword : environmental media, social basic competency, self-independence
