Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis nonparametric Data Envelopment
Analysis sebagai pengukuran kinerja perbankan di Indonesia. Dalam penelitian ini
mengamati bank yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dengan menggunakan
laporan keuangan periode 2009-2011. Metode ini membandingkan masing-masing
efisiensi bank yang terdaftar di BEI. Penelitian sebelumnya mengukur efisiensi
bank menggunakan teknik tradisional yaitu rasio keuangan sebagai ouput, tanpa
memperhatikan input yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa
hanya 27,58% bank yang terdaftar di IDX yang secara berturut-turut selama
periode penelitian konsisten menjalankan perusahaan dengan efisien. Penelitian
ini juga menemukan bahwa penggunaan DEA merupakan alternatif maupun
melengkapi evaluasi kinerja, terutama pada perbankan.;This study applies non-parametric analytical technique, i.e. Data Envelopment

The study observes efficiency of bank listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX)
by using suggested financial report for the period of 2009-2011. The approach and
technique proposed set of empirical references by comparing operating efficiency
for commercial bank listed in IDX. The study departs from previous studies on
measure of bank performance through the use of traditional ratios for banking
institutions as the output measure and without using input measures. The study
found that among commercial banks listed in IDX during 2009-2011 only 27,58%
operates in efficient manner consistently. As such, the study reveals that the DEA
analysis could be used as eitheralternative or complementary measure to
conventional ratio analysis to evaluate organizational performance, particularly in
