- <b>ABSTRAK</b><br> Tesis ini membahas pelaksanaan confidence building measures (CBMs) pada konflik Korea Selatan-Korea Utara periode 2008-2011. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini meyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan intensitas konflik antara Korea Selatan dan Korea Utara Periode 2008-2011 terjadi karena ukuran-ukuran CBMs tidak dilaksanakan secara konsisten, bertahap dan berkelanjutan, serta melibatkan komitmen seluruh pihak. Terdapat sejumlah penurunan intensitas pelaksanaan CBMs pada ukuran komunikasi, bantuan dan pendampingan atau investasi, serta sosial budaya yang memicu peningkatan intensitas konflik kedua belah pihak. <hr> <b>ABSTRACT</b><br> The focus of this study is application of confidence building measures on inter- Korean conflict in period of 2008-2011. The purpose of this study is to understand why CBMs failed to prevent inter-Korean conflict in period of 2008-2011. This study summarize that the CBMs failed to prevent inter-Korean conflict in period of 2008 because of the inconsistency application of CBMs. There are a decrease of application in communication?s, aid, investment, and social culture which was increase the tensions of conflict between South Korea and North Korea.
