Analisa dilakukan untuk mengetahui performa dari variasi komposisi bituminous dan tebal lapisan cat dengan menggunakan pengamatan mikroskopik, uji kabut garam, uji permeabilitas dan kekuatan adesi. Hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa penambahan bituminous akan mengurangi ukuran dan jumlah pori sehingga menurunkan permeabilitas terhadap uap air, namun juga mengurangi gaya adhesi. Untuk penambahan tebal lapisan cat juga tidak meningkatkan peforma dari coating, karena menimbulkan pori yang cukup besar sehingga meningkatkan permeabilitasnya akibat dari tidak homogennya proses selama pengeringan. Dari pengujian sembur kabut garam, tidak begitu menjelaskan perbedaan dari variasi pengujian ini. &lt;hr&gt; A temporary protective coating for materials or goods during shipping and or warehousing period could be used a coating with base composition from bituminous, toluene, alkyd resin and aliphatic hydrocarbon. Analysis is conducted to collect the information of coating performance by variant of bituminous composition in coating itself and variant of drying film thickness. The method of research are using microscopic (SEM), salt spray test, water vapor permeability and pull off test. The result of test showed that adding the bituminous material will decrease size and quantity of porosity to reducing the permeability and also will reduce the adhesion force. From the dry film thickness site, having a thicker layer film is not warranted in increasing the performance of coating, because inhomogeneous of curing process. The porosity will be growth up and increasing the permeability. The results of salt spray test not really explain the difference value from these variants.</description><identifier>https://lib.ui.ac.id/detail?id=136618</identifier><recordID>136618</recordID></dc>
