- <b>ABSTRAK</b><br> Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji secara empiris dampak merger dan akuisisi terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan di Indonesia menggunakan data merger dan akuisisi yang terjadi selama periode 2010-2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode data panel untuk melakukan analisis empiris tentang dampak merger dan akuisisi terhadap profitabilitas, nilai pasar, dan Tobin`s Q perusahaan. Hasil dari regresi menunjukan bahwa pengaruh merger dan akuisisi tidak signifikan terhadap profitabilitas dan nilai pasar. Namun hasil output regresi menunjukan bahwa merger dan akuisisi memiliki pengaruh <em>positive</em> dan signifikan terhadap Tobin`s Q perusahaan pada 1 tahun sesudah terjadinya merger. <hr /> <b>ABSTRACT</b><br> This study objective is to empirically examine the impact of merger and acquisition on corporate financial performance in Indonesia using data of merger and acquisition deals occurred during the period 2010-2014. This study using panel data method to carry out the empirical analysis of merger and acquisition impact on profitability, market value, and Tobin`s Q of the firm. The result suggest that merger deals do not have any significant impact on profitability and market value of the firms. However, the results indicate that merger and acquisitions have positive and statistically significant impact on Tobin`s Q during the first year after the merger deals.</i>
