- [Penangkapan ikan yang melanggar hukum, tidak diatur, dan tidak dilaporkan tidak hanya mengancam kestabilan jurisdiksi nasionalnya, namun juga memberikan kerugian besar di sektor ekonomi, sosial dan lingkungan suatu Negara yang mengharuskan adanya kesadaran dan kekhawatiran internasional. Dengan menunjukkan batas dan syarat masalah tersebut sehingga nampak penggunaan hukum yang tepat dan kelanjutan kerangka hukum yang digunakan sebagai prioritas untuk memberantas masalah ini. Menyediakan ulasan hukum terkait sebagai pedoman peraturan perundang-undangan untuk menyelesaikan IUU fishing yang dilakukan dalam zona maritim yaitu perairan pedalaman, perairan kepulauan, laut wilayah, zona ekonomi ekslusif, dan laut bebas yang berada dalam kompetensi RFMO. Sejak dan karena pergerakan internasional dalam memberantas IUU fishing adalah salah satu gerakan paling progresif untuk komunitas internasional dalam menghadapi persoalan tersebut, besarnya peran dan konsep kerja sama international untuk melakukan optimum management terbaik dan conservation sustainability, terutama dalam menghapuskan kegiatan IUU fishing. Peraturan hukum internasional terkait IUU fishing yang mengikat dan ataupun tidak mengikat suatu Negara, sepanjang dianggap efektif hendaknya diperkuat dengan implementasi yang konsisten dengan melalui tindakan nasional suatu Negara, tindakan Negara bendera, tindakan Negara pantai, tindakan Negara pelabuhan, tindakan perdagangan dan pasar, dan Organisasi Manajemen Perikanan Regional (RFMOs) yang diadopsi oleh Negara dan ditentukan sebagai praktek-praktek negara dan tindakan juga tolak ukur tergantung Negara tersebut. Sehingga menyebabkan dan mengarah pada koordinasi yang signifikan terhadap partisipasi dunia internasional beserta usaha dari masing-masing penguatan pernanan hukum nasional Negara. Kontribusi terpenting dalam artikel jurnal ini yakni memberikan perbandingan analisis dalam penggunaan hukum perikanan internasional, serta praktik-praktik Negara yang ada.;Background: The occurrence of the IUU fishing in high seas and State water jurisdiction has been developed in many regions all over the world and become one of the global issues. International law related to fisheries has the significant role as a combatant towards such issue through international movement, implemented by States reflected on each State practices. Research questions: This research will analyze the practice and history of the IUU fishing terminology, international law and regulation related to fisheries, State measures and current State practices enforced by States. Research Methodology: An effective international law and regulations related to fisheries could cope with such problem noted that consistently followed by the implementation of State practices in their national measures. Assisted with international coordination, effort and movement to form cooperation.
