  • <b>ABSTRAK</b><br> Perilaku menonton televisi dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan anak usia sekolah. Penelitian deskriptif korelatif ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan perilaku menonton televisi dengan perkembangan anak usia sekolah menurut persepsi ibu dengan 81 responden. Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara perilaku menonton televisi dengan perkembangan anak usia sekolah menurut persepsi ibu (p value = 0,176; &#945; = 0,05). Saran untuk pelayanan keperawatan komunitas, pemberian edukasi kesehatan kepada orang tua dalam merawat dan memantau perilaku perkembangan anak dalam hal menonton acara televisi dan bagi orang tua terutama ibu dalam upaya pencegahan terjadinya perilaku menyimpang atau kekerasan oleh anak. <hr> <b>ABSTRACT</b><br> Television viewing behavior can affect the development of school-age children. Correlative descriptive study was conducted aiming to identify the relationship of behavior to watch television with the development of school-age children as perceived by mothers with 81 respondents. There was no significant association between television viewing behavior with the development of school-age children according to mother’s perception (p value = 0.176; &#945; = 0.05). Suggestions for community nursing services, the provision of health education to parents in caring for and monitoring the development of children's behavior in terms of watching television and for parents, especially mothers in efforts to prevent the occurrence of deviant or violent behavior by children.
