- [Based on the ordinance No. 36 year 2009 on Health, government is responsible for planning, organizing, executing, developing and supervising health efforts equitable and affordable to all citizens. One of effort the health of the pharmaceutical services, provision of drugs and vaccines as well as the provision of medical supplies quality, affordable and easy to obtain. Implementation in the management of public medicine and medical supplies organized by the Directorate of Public Medicines and Healthcare Products which is part of the Directorate General of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices. In order to understand the tasks and role of pharmacists in the field of good governance, the candidates of Apothecary need to do Internship Pharmacist Program (PKPA) in one of the government agencies that are closely related to the pharmaceutical world, such as in the Directorate General of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices and in particular, especially in Directorate of Public Medicines and Medical Supply., Berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 36 Tahun 2009 tentang Kesehatan, Pemerintah bertanggung jawab untuk merencanakan, mengatur, menyelenggarakan, membina dan mengawasi penyelenggaraan upaya kesehatan yang merata dan terjangkau oleh masyarakat. Salah satu upaya kesehatan adalah dengan pelayanan kefarmasian, penyediaan obat dan vaksin serta penyediaan perbekalan kesehatan yang bermutu, terjangkau dan mudah diperoleh. Pelaksanaan pengelolaan obat publik dan perbekalan kesehatan diatur oleh Direktorat Bina Obat Publik dan Perbekalan Kesehatan yang merupakan bagian dari Direktorat Jenderal Bina Kefarmasian dan Alat Kesehatan. Agar dapat memahami tugas dan peran apoteker dibidang pemerintahan dengan baik, maka calon apoteker perlu melakukan Praktek Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) di salah satu instansi pemerintah yang berhubungan erat dengan dunia farmasi, dalam hal ini Direktorat Jenderal Bina Kefarmasian dan Alat Kesehatan, terutama di Direktorat Bina Obat Publik dan Perbekalan Kesehatan.]
