Penelitian yang berjudul Peran Community Workers dalam Community
Development (Kasus Sarjana Penggerak Pembangunan di Perdesaan [SP-3] di Kelurahan Batu Ampar Jakarta Timur) ini bertujuan untuk mendeskrlpslknn dan
menganalisis mengenai peran, hambatan, dan hasil pelaksanaan program
pengembangan mzsyamkat yang berorientasi pads pengembangan pendidikan
anak usia din! di Kelurahan Batu Ampar oleh SP3 sebagal community worker.
Pencapaian sebuah program pengembangan masyarakat (community
developmenz) dipmgaruhi oleh peran seomng community worker dalam hal ini
SP3 Fenomena yang tcnjadi belakangn ini meuunjuklum lemalmya peran yang seharusnya dilakukan oleh seorang SP3. Melalui riset ini, peneiiti menganalisis
peran SP3, yang dinobatkan sebagpi salah sam SP3 berprestasi tingkai nasional tahun 2009, sebagai sebuah kasus untuk melihat urgensl peran seorang SPS.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan informasi yang diperoleh melalui
penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan teori peran community worker yang
dikemukakan oleh Jim Ife, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa peran comummunity worker
yang dilakukan oleh SP3 sudah sesuai sehingga mampu untuk memberikan
penlbahan dalam pengembangun pendidikan anak usia Akan tetapi sebagai
suatu bentuk pembeberdaayaan masyarakat belum dapat dikatakan berhasil, sebab program yang dilaksanakan belum diterminasi, sehingga belum dapat diukur
tingkat keberhasilannya dalam hal memandirikan masyarakat.
Dalam rangka mengoptimalkan hasil pengembangan ke depan maka perlu
kiranya dilakukan perbaikan, yaitu SP3 mampu lebih bail: Iagi memainkan peran
menyadarkan masyalakat untuk mengubah frame beriikir masyarakat temang
pentingnya pendldikan anak usia dii, dan melakukan peran sebagai mediator dan
negosiator untuk mengatasi masalah kelompok kepentingan yang sedang terjadi.

The research, entitled The Role of Community Workers In the Comunnlty
Development (Case Study: The Scholar Development initiator for Rural Areas Sarjana Penggerak Pemtbangunan di Pedesaan [SP-3] in Batu Ampar Village, East Jakarta), is aimed to describe and analyse the role, the barriers, and the result
of the program as a community workers in implementing the community
development program of which orientation is the development of Early Childhood Education in Batu Ampar Village.

the role of a community worker; in this case is the scholar development initiator or SP3. However, the phenomena which occur recently show a declining ofthe
actual role of the commtmity workers. Through this research, the researcher analyses the community workers? role, who are awarded as one of the best
