- <b>ABSTRAK</b><br> Prestasi akademik merupakan hal yang penting bagi seorang pelajar. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Maliawan (1998), tanggung jawab berhubungan secara positif signifikan dengan prestasi. Hasil penelitian Cobb (dalam Wentzel 1993) juga menunjukkan bahwa tanggung tanggung jawab memiliki pengaruh terhadap prestasi. Tindakan yang bertanggung jawab berkembang dari rasa tanggung jawab. Menurut Stern (2008) rasa tanggung jawab berkembang lebih kuat jika siswa berada dalam lingkungan yang sesuai. Maka, dapat diasumsikan akan terdapat perbedaan rasa tanggung jawab pada siswa yang berada dalam lingkungan yang sesuai dan tidak sesuai. Kesesuaian kepribadian individu dengan karakteristik lingkunganya disebut Holland (dalam Donohue, 2006) sebagai congruence dan ketidaksesuaian sebagai incongruence. Konsep kesesuaian tersebut penting bagi siswa kelas XI yang menghadapi penjurusan di SMA. Menurut Sphokane, et al. (2000) masih sedikit penelitian mengenai lingkungan pendidikan dan karakter siswa. Sepengetahuan peneliti, di Indonesia juga belum pernah ada penelitian mengenai tanggung jawab dan congruence. Oleh karena itu, peneliti melakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui apakah secara kuantitatif terdapat perbedaan rasa tanggung jawab pada siswa kelas XI yang memiliki congruence dan incongruence. Rasa tanggung jawab diukur menggunakan alat ukur tanggung jawab yang disusun berdasarkan teori Sukiat (1993) dan pengukuran minat dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat tes Self Directed Search (SDS) Holland. Congruence dan incongruence ditentukan dengan mencocokkan hasil tes minat subjek dengan jurusannya. Partisipan dalam penelitiaan ini berjumlah 118 orang siswa kelas XI SMA N 81 Jakarta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan mean rasa tanggung jawab yang signifikan pada siswa kelas XI yang memiliki congruence dan incongruence (t = -3.139; p = 0.002, signifikan pada LoS 0.05). <hr> <b>Abstract</b><br> Academic achievement is important for a student. Based on research that was conducted by Maliawan (1998), responsibility has positive significant with achievement. Cobb (in Wentzel 1993) is also showed that the sole responsibility to have an influence on achievement. Responsible action develops from a sense of responsibility. According to Stern (2008) sense of responsibility grow stronger if the student is in a suitable environment. Thus, we can assume that there will be differences in the sense of responsibility between students who are in a suitable environment and are not. Suitability of individual personality characteristics toward the environment, (Holland in Donohue, 2006), has a congruence and incongruence as incompatibility. The concept of fitness is important for students who face a majoring subject in XI class of high school. According Sphokane, et al. (2000) there still a little research on the educational environment and character of the students. Researcher's knowledge, in Indonesia has not been any research on the responsibility and congruence. Therefore, the researchers conducted a study to determine whether there are quantitative differences in the sense of responsibility to the class XI student who has a congruence and incongruence. Sense of responsibility was measured by using a measuring instrument which is based on responsibility which is applied by Sukiat theory (1993) and the measurement of interest is done by using the assay Self Directed Search (SDS) Holland. Congruence and incongruence are determined by comparing test results with their major interest in the subject. Participants in this research consist of 118 class XI student of SMA N 81 Jakarta. The results of this research indicate that there are differences mean a significant sense of responsibility in class XI students who have a congruence and incongruence.
