- [<b>ABSTRAK</b><br> Skripsi ini membahas tentang unsur intrinsik dalam novel Azazil karya Youssef Ziedan. Penulis menganalisis tokoh dan penokohan dalam novel tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode struktural. Metode struktural ini juga menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dan analitis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis unsur intrinsik dan penokohan tokoh utama dalam novel Azazil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tokoh utama dalam novel asal Mesir ini yang berprofesi sebagai rahib Kristen memiliki karakter yang berubah-ubah seiring dengan perjalanan dan peristiwa yang terjadi selama hidupnya. <hr> <b>ABSTRACT</b><br> This thesis discusses an intrinsic element in Azazil novel by Youssef Ziedan. The author analyzes the figures and characterizations in the novel. This study is a qualitative studies which is using the structural methods. Structural method also uses descriptive and analytical approach. The purpose of this study is to analyze the intrinsic elements and the main character in the Azazil novel. The results showed that the main character in the novel from Egypt who have profession as Christian monk have a unique character with the passage and the events that occurred during his lifetime., This thesis discusses an intrinsic element in Azazil novel by Youssef Ziedan.
