- <b>ABSTRAK</b><br> Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya dinamika kebijakan luar negeri AS terhadap kelompok Uighur (periode 2002- 2011). Penelitian ini akan dianalisis dengan konsep kepentingan nasional. Dengan konsep tersebut, penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa kebijakan luar negeri AS terhadap kelompok Uighur terkait dengan kepentingan-kepentingan AS yaitu kepentingan ekonomi dan strategis. Kepentingan ekonomi tersebut adalah minyak dan gas di wilayah Xinjiang, dan perdagangan dengan China. Sedangkan kepentingan strategis tersebut adalah alasan keamanan dan hegemoni AS. <hr> <b>Abstract</b><br> The aim of this thesis is to explain the factors that cause the inconsistency of U.S. foreign policy toward Uyghur terrorist groups (period 2002-2011). According to the concept and theory, the thesis has proved that the inconsistency of U.S. foreign policy toward Uyghur terrorist groups related to the U.S. national interests which are the economic and strategic interest. The economic interests are oil and gas in the Xinjiang region, and trade with China. While the strategic interests are for the U.S. security and hegemonic reasons.
