- [Wakaf merupakan instrumen yang diunggulkan Islam dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi dan sosial umat. Namun, potensi wakaf yang demikian besar belum dapat dioptimalkan di Indonesia. Salah satu hal yang menjadi penyebabnya adalah belum transparannya kinerja lembaga wakaf. Sehingga, umat belum mempercayakan dananya bagi pengembangan wakaf. Untuk itu, skripsi ini dimaksudkan untuk merumuskan penilaian kinerja lembaga wakaf. Untuk membuktikan keandalan penilaian kinerja yang dirumuskan, maka peneliti mengujikan pengukuran kinerja tersebut pada tiga lembaga wakaf yaitu Badan Wakaf Indonesia, Tabung Wakaf Indonesia, dan Wakaf Al-Azhar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan efektifitas dan efisiensi lembaga wakaf kurang optimal. <hr> <b>Abstract</b><br> Waqf are a favored instrument of Islam in improving social and economic welfare of the people. However, the potential for such large waqf cannot be optimized in Indonesia. One of the things that became the cause is not yet transparent performance waqf institutions. So, people do not entrust their funds to the development of waqf. To that end, this thesis is intended to formulate performance assessment waqf institutions. To prove the reliability of performance assessment that is formulated, the researcher is testing out the performance measurements in three institutions Badan Wakaf Indonesia, Tabung Wakaf Indonesia, and Wakaf Al-Azhar. This study is a descriptive qualitative research design.
