- Tesis ini memfokuskan pembahasan pada kekuatan yang dimiliki oleh teknologi dalam menentukan arah perkembangan kebudayaan manusia. Teknologi sebagai sebuah sistem terdiri dari manusia sebagai factor didalamnya, dan sebagai factor tersebut manusia tidak memiliki kekuasaan untuk secara menyeluruh mengontrol keseluruhan sistem teknologi sehingga teknologi kemudian berkembang secara otonom. Ketika manusia tidak memiliki control terhadap teknologi maka teknologi pun kemudian berkembang secara otonom, lalu implikasi dari perkembangan teknologi yang otonom tersebut kemudian membuat teknologi menjadi penggerak arah peradaban manusia karena kebudayaan manusia sangat bergantung terhadap teknologi untuk berkembang. <hr> This thesis focused on the explanation of the power held by technology in directing the progress of human culture. Technology as a system consisted also by human in it, and as a mere factor, human are restrained from having full control on the whole system of technology and so the technology then goes on autonomously. The implications of technology being autonomous by the lack of human control is that technology therefore direct the progress of human civilization because human could not separate itself from technology.
