Penelitian ini bertujuan mendokumentasikan memori kolektif dari restoran Cina di Jakarta yang mulai berdiri dalam kurun waktu tahun 1930-1950an dan menelaah representasi praktik kultural yang terjadi serta tarik-menarik kepentingan didalamnya. Sumber data adalah pemilik dan pengelola restoran Cina dan restoran Cina. Kerangka berpikir yang melandasi penelitian adalah kajian memori kultural (cultural memory studies). Landasan metodologi adalah pendekatan Cultural Studies, yaitu pendekatan etnografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa restoran Cina memegang peranan dalam pembentukan memori kolektif kota Jakarta.
<hr>This thesis is a study on the city?s collective memory represented in a Chinese restaurant in Jakarta. This study aims to documented the collective memory of a Chinese restaurant in Jakarta, which started up in the period of 1930-1950s and analises the representation of cultural practices that occurred as well as attract the interest therein. Data source is the owner and manager of the Chinese restaurants and Chinese restaurants. Framework of thinking that underlies this research is the study of cultural memory. The methodology used is the approach of Cultural Studies, which is ethnographic approach. The results showed that Chinese restaurant plays a role in shaping the collective memory of Jakarta.</description><identifier>https://lib.ui.ac.id/detail?id=133634</identifier><recordID>133634</recordID></dc>
