Walaupun masih menjadi pertanyaan tentang sampai dimana batasan bentuk layanan multimedia broadband dimasa mendatang, teknologi LTE diharapkan dapat mewadahi memberikan solusi layanan yang terintegrasi baik layanan eksisting maupun layanan masa depan.
Implementasi LTE sebagai teknologi wireless broadband akan sangat menarik, khususnya di daerah DKI Jakarta dengan luas wilayah 740,28 km2 dan jumlah penduduk sekitar 10 juta jiwa. Pendekatan dilakukan dengan perhitungan kapasitas dan analisa ekonomi kelayakan investasi penyelenggaraan layanan LTE. Perhitungan kapasitas menunjukan bahwa BTS LTE yang diperlukan di DKI Jakarta adalah sebanyak 455. Pertumbuhan pelanggannya broadband Telkomsel diperkirakan mencapai 7.000 user per bulan, angka churn rate di asumsikan 10%, analisa NPV menunjukan angka positif dan analisa IRR didapat sebesar 52%. Analisa pacback periode menunjukan lama waktu kembalinya modal adalah selama 4 tahun 2 Bulan. Dengan demikian proyek ini layak untuk di implementasikan.
<hr>Customer requirement of broadband multimedia services with more high speeds access rise faster, it is not impossible that 3G services now are no longer able to meet the expectations of customers. Although still become a question where is the boundaries of broadband multimedia services in the future, LTE technology expected to facilitate providing integrated service solutions both existing services and future services.
LTE implementations as broadband wireless technology will be very interesting, particularly in the DKI Jakarta area with a total area of 740,28 km2 and a population of approximately 10 million people. The approach done by calculating the capacity, and economic analysis of investment feasibility for LTE services. Capacity calculations show that the LTE base stations required 455 in DKI Jakarta. Telkomsel's broadband subscriber growth expected to reach 7000 users per month, the rate of churn rate is assumed 10%, NPV analysis shows positive figures and analysis obtained 52% IRR. Pacback analysis showed long periods of time is the return of capital over four years. And 2 Month.
