Laksda Adisucipto km.11, Dusun Sidokerto, Purwomartani, Kalasan, Yogyakarta merupakan perusahaan bergerak dalam industri sarung tangan khususnya sarung tangan golf. Materi yang dijadikan kajian dalam karya akhir ini yaitu, “Mengatasi Defect Terhadap Sarung Tangan Golf Pada Proses Sewing”. Tujuan dari karya akhir adalah mengetahui penyebab terjadinya defect pada sarung tangan, mengetahui cara mengatasi perbaikan sarung tangan golf pada proses sewing. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data primer yaitu dengan melakukan observasi, interview,dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan untuk mengumpulkan data sekunder dilakukan dengan metode kepustakaan. Defect meleset jahitan, miring jahitan, kendor jahitan, dedel dan kerutan pada saat proses sewing merupakan defect/cacat yang sering terjadi. Jumlah defect mengakibatkan target perusahaan tidak terpenuhi dan menambah biaya operasional. Usulan perbaikan untuk permasalahan defect pada sarung tangan dapat menginformasikan kepada operator terkait pemilihan dan perlakuan material serta setting mesin jahit disesuaikan oleh SOP. PT Adi Satria Abadi is address at Laksda Adisucipto km.11, Dusun Sidokerto, Purwomartani, Kalasan, Yogyakarta is a company engaged in the golve industry, especially golf glove. The material that is used as the topic in this final assignment is, "Overcoming defects in golf gloves on the sewing process. The purpose of the final work is to find out the cause of the defect in the gloves, to find out to overcome the improvement of golf gloves on the sewing process. The method used to collect primary data is by conducting observations, interviews, fieldwork and documentation. Whereas to collect secondary data is done by library method. Defect missed stitches, dowels and wrinkles during the sewing process are frequent defect. The number of the defects result in the company’s target not being fulfilled and increasing operational costs. The proposed improvement for the defect problem in gloves can inform the operator regrading the selection and treatment of materials as setting of the sewing machine according to the SOP.
