- Tujuan dari Tugas Akhir adalah mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan pigmen terhadap tingkat covering kulit crust dyed artikel crazy horse vintage. Materi yang digunakan adalah kulit sapi crust dyed kualitas III sebanyak 1 side dengan tebal 1,6-1,8 mm sebagai bahan baku, dan bahan pembantu yang digunakan adalah pigment, liquid dyes, polyurethane. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pada percobaan 1 menggunakan perbandingan 60 gr/kg liquid dyes dan 40 gr/kg pigment, percobaan 2 menggunakan perbandingan 60 gr/kg liquid dyes dan 60 gr/kg pigment, percobaan 3 menggunakan perbandingan 60 gr/kg liquid dyes dan 80 gr/kg pigment. Hasil pengujian organoleptis diperoleh hasil kulit percobaan 1 pada permukaan kulit masih terlihat, percobaan 2 defek pada permukaan kulit sedikit tersamarkan, dan percobaan 3 defek pada permukaan kulit tertutup secara sempurna (covering). Kesimpulannya yaitu percobaan 3 dengan penggunaan pigment sebanyak 80gr/kg menghasilkan kulit artikel crazy horse vintage dengan tingkat covering yang bagus dan defek pada permukaan kulit tertutup secara sempurna. The aim of this Final Project is to study the effect of the use of pigment on levels that include crust dyed with vintage crazy horse articles. The material used is cowhide dyed quality III 1 side with a thickness of 1.6-1.8 mm as a raw material, and auxiliary materials used are pigments, liquid dyes, polyurethanes. The method used in experiment 1 uses the replacement of 60 gr/kg of liquid coloring and 40 gr/kg of pigment, experiment 2 uses a ratio of 60 gr/kg of liquid coloring and 60 gr/kg of pigment, experiment 3 uses conversion of 60 gr/kg of liquid coloring and 80 gr/kg pigment. Organoleptic test results showed that the results of skin 1 experiment on the surface of the skin were still visible, experiment 2 defects on the surface of the skin were slightly disguised, and trial 3 of the defect on the surface of the skin was completely covered (covering). The conclusion was experiment 3 using 80gr/kg of pigment produced a vintage crazy horse skin with a level that included good and defects on the surface of the skin completely covered.
