- Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh UD Sumber Abadi adalah tingkat kelemasan kulit artikel pull up yang kurang maksimal. Tujuan dilakukannya praktek kerja lapangan adalah untuk menemukan pemecahan masalah mengenai tingkat kelemasan kulit yang kurang lemas menurut customer pada artikel pull up. Materi yang digunakan pada praktek kerja lapangan ini adalah kulit sapi 1 side, dengan luas 20 sqft, dan tebal 1,2-1,3 mm. metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada adalah dengan dilakukannya perbaikan pada metode proses fatliquoring, dari metode long float menjadi metode medium float. Metode pengujian hasil kulit setelah dilakukan perbaikan metode fatliquoring didapatkan hasil kulit artikel pull up dengan tingkat kelemasan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan tingkat kelemasan kulit sebelum dilakukan perbaikan metode fatliquoring. Hasil kulit setelah dilakukan perbaikan metode fatliquoring didapatkan hasil untuk tingkat kelemasan 80 (tinggi), fullness 60 (medium) dan kelentingan 76 (tinggi). Nilai untuk kulit artikel pull up tersebut dinyatakan telah memenuhi standar customer. The problem that have to face at UD Sumber Abadi were the less optimal softness level of leather pull-up article. The purpose of doing field work practices is to find a solution to the softness problem of the level of leather pull-up article. The material used in this field work practice is 1 side cowhide, with an area of 20 sqft, and 1.2-1.3 mm thick. The implementation method used to overcome the existing problem is to improve the method of the fatliquoring process, from the long float method to the medium float method. After repairing the fatliquoring method, the results of pull up article leather were obtained with a higher level of softness compared to the level of leather softness before the fatliquoring method was improved. The results of the leather after repairing the fatliquoring method were obtained for softness 80 (high), fullness 60 (medium) and resilience 76 (high). The value for the pull up article leather is stated to have met customer standards.
