- Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap dampak positif dari metode diskusi di kelas IX A SMPN I Rasau Jaya Kubu Raya dalam mengatasi kesulitan siswa menemukan unsur-unsur intrinsik cerpen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 30 orang siswa kelas IX A yang mengalami kesulitan menemukan unsur-unsur intrinsik cerpen. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa setelah menggunakan metode diskusi, aktivitas belajar subyek penelitian meningkat dari 75% menjadi 83%. Nilai rata-rata kelompok dan nilai rata-rata individu diatas standar KKM ( ≥ 75 ), respon siswa dalam menemukan unsur-unsur intrinsik cerpen sebelum dilaksanakan siklus 1 dan 2 sangat rendah, namun setelah menggunakan metode diskusi pada siklus 1 dan 2 respon siswa meningkat. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari pernyataan siswa yang sangat setuju dan setuju pada siklus I berjumlah 24 orang (80 %) sedang pada siklus II berjumlah 25 orang (83,33%). Abstract : The research aimed reveals the positive impact of the method of discussion in class IX A Yunior High School I Rasau Jaya Kubu Raya in overcoming the difficulties students find the intrinsic elements stories. The research method used is descriptive with the form of case study research.The subjects of this study were 30 students of class IX A are having trouble finding the intrinsic elements of short stories. Data analysis results show that after using the method of discussion, study subjects learn some vital lessons activity increased from 75% to 83%. The average value and the average value of the individual above the standards of KKM (≥ 75) the response of the students in finding the intrinsic elements of the short story before proceeding cycles 1 and 2 are very low, but after using the method of discussion on siklus 1 and 2 students increased response. It can see of statements students strongly agree and agree on cycle 1 amounted to 24 peoples (80%) were on cycle 2 amounted 25 peoples (83,33%) Key Words : Abylity, Finds, Intrinsic Elements, Discussion.
