  • This study aims to determine the influence of geographical aspects on brown sugar production activities and how the economic condition of the people of Punggur Kapuas Village, Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency. The research method used in this study is qualitative descriptive research. The location used by the researcher was Punggur Kapuas Village, Sungai Kakap District. Sampling using Purposive Sampling as much as 10% of the population of 50 brown sugar craftsmen. Data collection in this study used data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained are analyzed by data reduction techniques, presentation of data drawing conclusions.Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that geographical aspects can affect the socio-economic conditions of brown sugar craftsmen in Punggur Kapuas Village. Physical geography aspects such as weather and land can affect the production of coconut sap water, while how many coconut trees are tapped also affects the sap water yield, thus affecting the income obtained by brown sugar craftsmen. The economic condition of the brown sugar artisan community based on income per day can produce Rp. 100,000 – Rp 200,000,-/ day is categorized as sufficient after deducting expenses during the production period only reduced by 8% of the overall income of brown sugar craftsmen.
