- Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi yang akurat tentang peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa melalui penerapan metode Jigsaw dalam pembelajaran IPS di Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 21 Sungai Pinyuh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 21 Sungai Pinyuh dengan rincian sebanyak 14 orang siswa perempuan dan 11 orang siswa laki-laki. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi langsung dan alat pengumpul data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kemampuan guru dalam merencanakan pembelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan metode jigsaw pada siklus I diperoleh skor 3,32 dengan kategori “baik” dan pada siklus II menjadi 3,78 dengan kategori “sangat baik”, kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan metode jigsaw pada siklus I diperoleh skor 3,38 dengan kategori “baik” dan pada siklus II menjadi 3,55 dengan kategori “sangat baik”, peningkatan motivasi intrinsik siswa melalui penerapan metode Jigsaw dalam pembelajaran IPS di Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 21 Sungai Pinyuh dari 48% pada siklus I menjadi 88,33% pada siklus II, motivasi intrinsik siswa melalui penerapan metode Jigsaw dalam pembelajaran IPS di Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 21 Sungai Pinyuh dari 66,67% pada siklus I menjadi 96% pada siklus II. Kata Kunci: motivasi belajar, teknik jigsaw, ilmu pengatahuan sosial Abstract: The purpose of accurate information about the increase in student motivation through the application of the Jigsaw method in learning social studies in Class IV Elementary School 21 Sungai Pinyuh. The method used in this study is a qualitative method of research is the form of action research. The subjects in this study were fourth graders Elementary School 21 Sungai Pinyuh with details of as many as 14 female students and 11 male students. This study uses the technique of direct observation and data collection tool used in this study is the observation sheet.
