- Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan model kooperatif teknik talking stick untuk meningkatkan aktivitas pembelajaran peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPS di kelas VB Sekolah Dasar Negeri 15 Pontianak Selatan provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Bentuk penelitian ini yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas serta bersifat kolaboratif. Tempat penelitian berlangsung di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 15 Pontianak Selatan, subyek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VB yang berjumlah 28 orang dan guru mata pelajaran IPS. Hasil analisis data pada tahap baseline menunjukan bahwa aktivitas pembelajaran peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPS hanya menunjukan 50,01% pada aktivitas fisik, 25,72% pada aktivitas mental dan 44,06% pada aktivitas emosional, sehingga diberikan tindakan dengan menggunakan model kooperatif teknik talking stick untuk meningkatkan aktivitas peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPS. Kata kunci: Aktivitas, Model Kooperatif, Talking Stick Abstract: this study aims to describe the use of the cooperative model of talking stick technique to increasingthe learners activity in learning Social Science school clasroom the VB SDN 15 Shouth Pontianak West Borneo province. the method that usedis descriftiv method. This form of research is classroom action research as well as the collaborative nature of the research subject is students in class VB totalling 28 people and theachers of Social Science subjects. The result of data analysis in the baseline showed that the learning activity learners on learning Social Science only showed 50,01% in physical activity, 25,72% on mental activity and emotionnal activity at 44,06, so given the action by using the cooperative model talking stick technique to increase the activity of learners on learning of Social Science.
