- Social emotional ability is the sensitivity of a child learning to adapt to understand situations and feelings when interacting with other people in everyday life. Therefore media is needed for children's social emotional abilities. This study aims to develop learning media to stimulate the social emotional abilities of children aged 5-6 years. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. The source of this research data is validation from material experts, media experts and observations. The data are media expert validation questionnaires, material expert questionnaires, student observation sheets and the results of interviews with Aulia PAUD teachers in Pangkalan Kongsi Village. Based on media development, it can be concluded that 1) The required animated video media does not contain deviant scenes; 2) Designing media products that contain character education in order to achieve the social emotional development of children aged 5-6; 3) the validation results of material experts obtained a score of 83% with the appropriate category, and media experts obtained a score of 94% with the very feasible category; 4) The results of the implementation of the media developed by the researcher obtained a category suitable for use; 5) The final product is in the form of animated butterfly and ant video media which are ready to be used in learning without final revisions because from the results of validation by experts the media product is in the "very feasible" category.
