  • This research aims to determine social control by teachers in the form of persuasive control and repressive control in overcoming bullying deviant behavior in class XI IPS students of SMA Negeri 1 Pemangkat. The research used was a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques were through observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation. The result of this study is that social control by teachers in a persuasive and repressive manner in overcoming bullying behavior has been done well. Persuasive social control can be proven that sociology teachers and counseling guidance teachers have provide advice, invitations, guidance, and direction to students to always behave well and obey school rules and are given advice so as not to do bullying. Persuasive social control is carried out by the teacher before learning begins and during the learning process. While repressive social control is proven that the teacher has given a direct warning to students who have done bullying and given punishments in the form of calling students to the counseling guidance room to be given a warning and making a steatement not to repeat again and even threatened not to go to class if they are still repeating.
