- The aim of this study was to determine ``study habits of male and female students in sociology subjects in class XI IIS 4 SMAN 9 Pontianak''. The research method used was a qualitative descriptive survey. The data sources for this survey were sociology teachers and students assigned to SMAN 9 Pontianak. Data collection techniques in this study were by observation, interviews, and documentation, and the tools used were observational evidence, interview evidence, and documentation tools. Data analysis for this study was presented descriptively with the help of three informants. 1. Class XI IIS 4 SMAN 9 Study Habits of Male Students in Pontianak According to the indicators, none of the male students had apparently good study habits. 2. Study Habits of Female Students in Class XI IIS 4 of SMAN 9 Pontianak has developed good study habits based on the following indicators. c) Always study until you understand and complete it. (e) You are used to visiting the library to add readings and references
