ANALISIS KESULITAN BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN PPKn DI SMAN 08 PONTIANAK

  • This research tried to describe the learning difficulties that students encounter, their underlying causes, and the strategies that can be applied to overcome these learning difficulties. The research have done to the tenth graders of social major in SMA Negeri 08 Pontianak. A qualitative method with a descriptive approach was used in this research. Primary and secondary data sources were used as the sources of information to give the data a stand. Secondary data sources were gathered from archives and documentation provided by Civics Education teachers for the said graders. The primary data sources were Civics Education teachers and students of the class. In order to acquire data for this research, observation methods, interviewing methods, and document observation were applied. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data exposure and conclusion drawing and data verification. From the results of the research, it was obtained an overview of learning difficulties experienced by students including: learning disorders, learning disabilities, learning disfunctions, under achievers and slow thinking process. The factors that cause learning difficulties are divided into internal factors and external factors. Internal factors: Health, intelligence, emotions, feelings of confidence, enthusiasm in learning, individual differences, study habits, and memory. Meanwhile external factors: Teachers, learning environments, and social environments. Keywords: Civic Education, Learning Difficulties
