- This study aims to describe the Shift in Values in the Saprahan Tradition of Malay Marriage in Lela Village, Teluk Keramat District, Sambas Regency. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive ethnographic approach. Data collection techniques used in this study are interviews, observation, and documentation. Using data collection tools in the form of interview guidelines, observation guidelines, and documentation tools. Testing the validity of the data using triangulation techniques consisting of triangulation techniques and triangulation of sources. The results of the study show that (1) the equipment used during the implementation of the saprahan are; 1 x 1 saprah cloth, bathil and a glass of water, a saprah plate for eating food, 5-6 side dishes, a plate for rice, six hooded cups, one large tray for side dishes and one small tray for drinking water and one fruit napkins for hand wipes., and one rice spoon. (2) Preparation for the implementation of the Saprahan tradition takes place through 8 stages, namely; bepinjam, beramu, bepinjam paccah ballah, begilling, merancap, bekaut, bebasuk, Mulangkan barang. (3) The shift in values that occurred in the marriage tradition of the Sambas community, namely; Values of togetherness, religious values, drinking water for saprah, surrung clothes, use of saprah mats.
