  • AbstractThe study is titled “The Implementation Of A Multicultural Education InSosiology at SMA Negeri 1 Meliau”. The purpose of this study is theimplementation of a multicultural education in sociology viewed from thefive dimensions of multicultural education. The study uses ethnographicqualitative research methods by means of observation, in-depthinterviews and documentation. Research indicates that 1) the sociologyteacher carefully implemented the dimensions of content integration byintegrating multicultural content into the sociological learning materialcontained in the RPP. 2) sociology teacher carefully implement theconstruction dimension of knowledge by helping students bulidmulticultural knowledge through sociological study materials by givingexamples of pictures contained in RPP. 3) sociology teacher carefullyimplement the prejudice reduction dimension by developing positiverecognition of different religious groups and cultures in the sociologyprocess. 4) sociology teacher carefully implement the same and fairdimensions of education. Justice in prayer; all learners take trunsleading the prayers of both women and men with each trust. Justice indivision of discussion groups; discussion groups are chosen at random,not by absence or self-choice of. Justice in learning; teacher approach alldiscussion groups in shifts and give all learners the same opportunity toask questions, answer and respond without discrimination. 5) Sociologyteacher carefully implement thr dimensions of school empowerment andsocial structure by applying school culture in learning.Keywords: Implementation, Multicultural Education, Sosiology Study
