- AbstractThis study aims to describe the inter-ethnic mixed marriage conversation in Dusun Suka Maju. The use of language in mixed married families as the object of research because we want to know the use of language used in inter-ethnic mixed married families when communicating. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative research form. Sources of data in this study were Malay speakers of Mempawah language by inter-ethnic mixed marriages in Suka Maju Hamlet, Mempawah Hulu District, Landak Regency. The data collection technique used was the interview technique. While the tools used in this study were observation sheets, interview guides, cameras, smartphones, and field notes. Based on the results of data analysis in this study, there are variations in the use of language in inter-ethnic mixed married families in Suka Maju village, namely Mempawah Malay language. There are factors that influence the use of language in interethnic mixed marriages in Suka Maju Hamlet, Mempawah Hulu District, Landak Regency using Dell Hymes' theory of Speaking Theory, namely setting, participant, ends, act, key, instrumentalities, norms, and genre. The supplement produced is in the form of exposition text as Indonesian language learning material for class X 2013 Curriculum.Keywords: Inter-Ethnic Mixed Marriage, Language Use, Suka Maju Hamlet
