This study aims to describe the classification of taboo words in BMDS based on Frazer's opinion, references to euphemisms for taboo words in BMDS according to Wijana and Rohmadi, and plans for implementing taboo words in BMDS in learning in SMP class VII semester I. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The form of research is qualitative. Using a sociolinguistic approach. The data sources are native speakers of the BMDS and the research data is how the lingual units, classification, and euphemism references for taboo words are used in BMDS. Data collection techniques are direct observation techniques, listening to conversational techniques, recording and note-taking techniques. The data collection tools used were notepads, questionnaires, writing instruments, and recording devices (cameras). The classification of taboo words is as follows (1) the taboo on the name of parents, (2) the taboo on the name of relatives, (3) the taboo on the name of the deceased, (4) the taboo on the names of people and animals which are sacred, (5) the taboo on the name of God, and (6 ) taboo certain words. The types of euphemistic references are divided into several types, namely, (1) circumstances, (2) animals, (3) objects, (4) body parts, (5) kinship, (6) spirits, (7) activities, (8) profession, and (9) illness.Keywords: Sanggau dialect taboo words, sociolinguistics, euphemism reference.
