- AbstractThe purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the implementation of the cooperative learning model talking stick type on geography learning on the learning outcomes of students of Class X IPS at SMA Negeri 1 Galing, Sambas Regency. The method used is an experimental method with a quasi experimental design and research design nonequivalent control group design. The sample used in this study were 35 students in class X IPS 1 (experimental class) and class X IPS 2 (control class) totaling 37 students. The data collection tool used was in the form of student test results with the type of test in the form of objective questions. The results of the study were the average value of the control class students' learning outcomes using conventional methods of 70.54 and a standard deviation of 17.27, while the average learning outcomes of experimental class students using the talking stick learning model were 82.71 and a standard deviation of 13. , 35. From the calculation of the Effect Size (ES), it is obtained by 0.70 with high criteria. Based on the results of statistical data analysis of the Independent Sample T Test on the SPSS 24 for windows program, the Sig. (2 tailed) of 0.001. If 0.001 ˂ 0.05, then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, it can be concluded that there is an effect of student learning outcomes using the Talking Stick learning model with conventional learning methods. The conclusion of this study means that the application of the talking stick model has a high influence on student learning outcomes in class X IPS learning geography of SMA Negeri 1 Galing Kab.Sambas.Keywords: Influence, Learning Models, Learning Outcomes.
