  • AbstractThis research is motivated by the contribution of science in the fields of culture and language, especially in the traditional marriage tradition (Tetek Mandok) of the Balangin Dayak community located in Nyawan Hamlet, Kuala Behe Village, Kuala Behe District, Landak Regency. The problem in this research is the form and function of the semantic vocabulary, lexical meaning, and cultural meaning. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative form. The source of data in this study is the community of language speakers who are actors in thetradition Tetek Mandok. The data contained in this study are vocabulary related to tradition and contain lexical and cultural meanings. Data collection techniques were carried out by listening to conversations, recording, taking photos, and taking notes. Data collection tools are interview guides, notebooks, voice recording devices from gadgets. The results of the research collected through data collection of the entire vocabulary amounted to 144 data. The data collected is the vocabulary contained in thetradition Tetek Mandok starting from pre-implementation, implementation, post-implementation, which includes activities, actors, tools and materials. The data includes 47 basic word forms, 3 affixed words, 86 phrases, 6 compound words accompanied by semantic functions and lexical meanings, and 9 cultural meanings.Keywords: Vocabulary, Traditional Marriage, Dayak Balangin
