- AbstractThis study aims to describe the product of teaching materials, and analyze the level of feasibility of the product of contextual-based teaching materials in the thematic learning of class II of the 24 Potianak Southeast Elementary School. The research method used is research and development (RnD) by adapting the Borg and Gall design development model. The data sources of this research are the results of the validation of six validators, the results of student trials on a small scale, and student responses related to the products that have been displayed. The data collection techniques of this research are validator validation questionnaires, test test questions for students, response questionnaires and documentation during the use of contextual learning materials by students. The results showed that during the process of developing contextual teaching materials. has gone through 7 stages, namely the potential and problem stage, the planning stage, the initial product development stage, the initial field trial stage, the main product revision stage, the main field trial stage and the final operational revision stage. The feasibility of contextual teaching materials, the average percentage from the design/display aspect is 3.73% with very valid criteria, from the learning (material) aspect, 2.78% has valid criteria, and from the language aspect, 3.32% has very valid criteria.Keywords: Development, teaching materials, contextual
