- AbstractThe Covid-19 pandemic, which has been endemic since March 2020, has resulted in the school learning process, which is usually face-to-face, to switch to online-based learning. This condition requires the teacher as a facilitator as well as a motivator to be able to manage the class using elearning learning media so that the learning process takes place effectively, attracts attention, and pleases students. While there are still teachers who do not have the ability to use e-learning media. Similarly, learning sociology at SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak, especially class X. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of ex-post facto research. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of online-based learning on achievement motivation and learning outcomes of class X students in sociology subjects at SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. The population of this study is class X students with a total of 236 students. Meanwhile, to determine the number of research samples used the Slovin formula, and obtained a minimum sample of 148 samples. The relevant data collection tools used in this study were questionnaires and tests. The results showed that online learning (online) had a significant direct effect on the achievement motivation of learning sociology with a contribution of 17.4% and achievement motivation had a significant direct effect on the success of learning sociology by 6.1%. Other results show that online-based sociology learning has an indirect effect on the success of sociology learning through achievement motivation.Keywords: Online Learning, Achievement Motivation, Learning Outcomes
