- AbstractThe purpose of conducting this research was to know the effectiveness of the children learning in science model (CLIS) as media in remediating the misconception of students of Junior High School 17 in Pontianak on pressure material. The form of this research was one group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this research was VIII C. This class consisted of 34 students. The sample was designated by using purposive sampling technique. The data collection was diagnostic test through pre-test and posttest. The mean of percentage in the pre-test was 77,5% and the post-test was 18.6%. The mean of student misconception decrease was 75,8%. Based on the DQM test, the effectiveness of remediation was 75,9% (High level). The result of the Mc Nemar test was obtained 52,7 of �2����� is higher than 3.84 of �2�����. There was a significant result after remedial misconceptions by using CLIS on the pressure material.The teachers are expected to use CLIS as an alternative media to remediate student’s misconceptions on pressure material.Keywords: Children Learning In Science (CLIS) Models, Media, Misconception, Pressure, Remediation
