Yasinan is a form of ijtihad for the scholars to propagate Islam by inviting people to get closer to Islamic teachings through the love of reading the Al-Qur'an, one of which is surah Yasin so it is called Yasinan. This yasinan tradition is part of the collective awareness of the people of Sukamulia, Pontianak City or other local communities from generation to generation.
