- AbstractThis study aims to determine the role of the Students’ Council (OSIS) as onemeans of student personality character building at SMAN 1 Sungai Raya tofoster the value of school deliberations. The method used in this research isdescriptive research with a qualitative approach. Sources of data in the studywere the supervisors, administrators, and members of the Student Council.Data collection techniques applied were observation, interviews, anddocumentation. Tools of data collection used in this study were observationguidelines, interview guides, and documentation guidelines. The data validitytest used was the source, technique, and time triangulation techniques. Thisstudy showed that the student council becomes a means of personalitycharacter building. The personality characters formed through studentcouncil are tolerance, care, leadership, and respect.Keywords: Deliberation, Personality Character Building, Student Council.
