- Abstract The rise of early marriage in Indonesia is caused by several different factors. This causal factor is triggered by certain customs, habits and laws that are owned by each region. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the factors that encourage early marriage in Desa Sepuk Sungai, Kecamatan Sebawi, Kabupaten Sambas. The research method used was descriptive qualitative research. The results of this research, the factors that encourage early marriage in Desa Sepuk Sungai, Kecamatan Sebawi, Kabupaten Sambas were the low levels of economy and education. Lack of parental supervision and awareness of the impact of early marriage was also included in the factors that encourage early marriage in Desa Sepuk Sungai, Kecamatan Sebawi, Kabupaten Sambas. Factors that also encourage early marriage in Desa Sepuk Sungai, Kecamatan Sebawi, Kabupaten Sambas were the inappropriate use of mass media and the culture of the people of Desa Sepuk Sungai, Kecamatan Sebawi, Kabupaten Sambas, who think that early marriage is commonplace. So it can be concluded that the driving factors for early marriage in Desa Sepuk Sungai, Kecamatan Sebawi, Kabupaten Sambas were Economic Factors, Educational Factors, Parents Factors, Mass Media Factors, and Cultural Factors.
