  • AbstractThis research aimed to know the influence of lesson model Discovery Learning by using Flipbook on the lesson Structure and Function of plants for grade VIII in SMPN 20 Pontianak. The research method was Quasi Experimental Design with research design Noneequivalent Control Group Design. Technique of data collecting used was intact group. Grade VIII A as the experiment class and grade VIII B as control class. The instrument was 20 numbers of multiple choice test. Based on the data analysis, it has been gained the average of students study result which have been taught by using Discovery Learning using Flipbook was 16.81, meanwhile the students which have been taught by using conventional learning was 15.46. From the U- Mann Whitney test, it has been gained z-value < z-table was 0,07 < 1.96, which mean there were differences between students study result that have been taught by using Discovery Learning using Flipbook and student that have been taught by using conventional learning. The effect size number that has been gained was 0.71 and influence Discovery Learning using Flipbook on the lesson Structure and Function of plants result was 26.73%Keyword: Discovery Learning, Flipbook, Structure and Function of plants
