PENGARUH MULTIMEDIA BERBASIS MIND MAPPING TERHADAP HASIL DAN RETENSI BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI HIDROKARBON

- Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil dan retensi belajar antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan multimedia berbasis Mind Mapping dengan siswa yang diajar tanpa menggunakan multimedia berbasis Mind Mapping pada materi hidrokarbon dan besarnya pengaruh penggunaan multimedia berbasis Mind Mapping terhadap hasil dan retensi belajar siswa pada materi hidrokarbon. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Non Randomize Control Group Pretest Postest Design with Retention Test. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji U-Man Whitney dan uji t. Hasil data menunjukan terdapat perbedaan hasil dan retensi belajar antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan multimedia berbasis Mind Mapping dengan siswa yang diajar tanpa menggunakan multimedia berbasis Mind Mapping. Pembelajaran dengan multimedia berbasis Mind Mapping memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar sebesar 33,89%, retensi belajar selama 1 minggu sebesar 44,95%, dan retensi belajar selama 2 minggu sebesar 40,15%. Kata kunci: multimedia, mind mapping, hasil, retensi Abstract: Aims of this research was to determine the differences of learning outcomes and learning retentions between students who were taught by using Mind Mapping multimedia and students who were taught without using Mind Mapping multimedia and the influence of using Mind Mapping multimedia to the learning outcomes and learning retentions. The method of this research was quasi-experiment and the design of research was Non Randomize Control Group Pretest Postest Design with Retention Test. Data was analyzed using U-Man Whitney test and t-test. The result showed there were differences of learning outcomes and learning retention between students who were taught by using Mind Mapping multimedia and students who were taught without Mind Mapping multimedia. The use of Mind Mapping multimedia gave the influence to the improvement of learning outcomes was 33,89%, learning retention for one week was 44,95% and learning retention for two weeks was 40,15%.
