- AbstractThis study aims to analyze the effect of the use of audio visual media in learning Civics Education on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of Al-Wardah Private Islamic Elementary School. The method used is an experiment with Quasi experimental design with non equivalent control group design. The population is all students from two classes totaling 59 people, the sample of this study is grade IVA students totaling 31 people as an experimental class and class IVB students as a control class totaling 28 people. Data collection techniques used are measurement techniques and data collection tools are multiple choice written tests. Based on the data analysis, the results of the average post-test value of the experimental class 74.52 and the average post-test control 70.14. Hypothesis test results using t-test (Polled Variance) obtained t count = 1.902 while for dk (31 + 28-2 = 57) with a significant level α = 5% obtained t table = 1.673, which means thitung> t table, then Ha is accepted, this prove there is an influence of the use of audio visual media in learning Civics Education. Based on the results of the effect size (ES) calculation obtained ES = 0.43 which included the medium criteria, which is 0.43 <0.8. Thus it can be said that the use of audio visual media in the learning of Citizenship Education has a positive influence on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of Al-Wardah Private Islamic Elementary School.
