- AbstractThis study aims to determine the relationship of extracurricular activities with the ability of social interaction of students in Junior High School 12 Pontianak. The method used is descriptive method and the form of research is the form of research relationship study. The population in this study used population research in which the sample taken in this study is the entire number of the population as many as 40 students. Data collection techniques used are indirect communication techniques and data collection tools with questionnaires. While the technique of data analysis using the formula percentage and product moment using SPSS version 16 then continued with coefficient of determination. From the data analysis the researchers found that the activity of extracurricular students reached 78% are in good category. While the ability of social interaction of students who follow extracurricular reaches 78% are in good category. Then from the relationship of extracurricular activity with social interaction ability of student use hypothesis test that product moment correlation result show rhitung> rtabel or 0,958> 0,320, It shows that there is positive relation of extracurricular activity with social interaction ability of student at Junior High School 12 Pontianak.Keywords: Extracurricular Activities, Social Interaction Ability
