- ABSTRACT: Problems arise in this study method so this because the teacher is not using the right students motivation to learn the art of dance is still low.The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in studens motivation, to determine the impact of the application of this method to the value of student learning autcome. This research is a form of action research (PTK), the number of research subjects by 30 students. The research was conducted by two cycles with two meetings, each meetin consists of four stages: plinning, ection, observation an reflection. After one cycle of ection learning activities students performed at 75%, then the two cycle with the percentage improvement of student activity by 94%. Improving student learning outcomes in a cycle average value of 73,33 and tests on two cycle average volue of the test of 86,33. So that the application of the method can be expressed PAIKEM have positive impact on improving the learning motivation special the grade students at Junior High School 02mNorth Kayong Utara District. Keywords: motivation, PAIKEM, learning. Abstrak: Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini timbul karena guru kurang menggunakan pendekatan yang tepat sehingga motivasi belajar seni tari siswa masih rendah. Tujuan dari peneltian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa, Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), dengan jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 30 siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus dengan dua kali pertemuan, setiap pertemuan terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan , tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Setelah tindakan siklus satu dilakukan aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 75%, kemudian pada siklus kedua dengan perbaikan maka presentaseaktivitas siswa sebesar 94%. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus satu nilai rata-rata tes 73,33 dan pada siklus dua nilai rata-rata tes sebesar 86,33. Sehingga dengan penerapan pendekatan PAIKEM bisa dinyatakan mempunyai dampak posotof terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar kususnya pada pembelajaran siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 02 Seponti Kabupaten Kayonh Utara.
