- AbstrackThis research is motivated by low motivation and results of student learning in acid-base and salt submateri. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference of motivation and results of student learning between students who were taught using 5E learning cycle learning model along with positive reinforcement and conventional methods and the big motivation and results of student learning on submateri acid base and salt class VII in SMP Negeri 19 Pontianak. This research is a quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group design. Techniques Data collection is a technique of measurement and indirect communication. Data collection tool is a questionnaire of students' learning motivation and learning result test. The research sample is class VII F as control class and class VII E as experimental class obtained by random sampling technique. Motivation and results of student learning were analyzed using the T-test and U-Mann Whitney. The result of the analysis shows that there are differences of motivation and results of student learning between students taught using 5E learning cycle learning model along with positive reinforcement and conventional methods. Learning model 5E learning cycle along with giving positive reinforcement give effect of 32,87% to improvement of learning results..
