The participants of this research were the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Raya. The sample of this research was classed VIII A that consists of 31 students. The writer used cluster-sampling technique in choosing the sample. Meanwhile the tool of data collecting of this research was a listening test. The study had been done in five meetings. The first meeting was for pre-test, three meetings were for treatments, and the last meeting was for post-test. The result of the data computation showed that the t-test of the students achievement after being taught by animation fable video showed tratio= ±10.438 which is higher than tcritical = 2.042.
