  • AbstractThis pre-experimental research was aimed to investigate the use learning cycle 7E to reduce students’ misconceptions on subtopic force in SMP Negeri 20 Pontianak. Sample of this research was students from VIII E class who choosen by intact group random sampling technique. Diagnostic test which consist of 18 multiple choice question without open reasoning was used as research instrument to asses the number of students misconceptions. The results show that the number of students in understanding with percentage of 55,65% there was reduce. Students’ conceptions had changed statistically significant after the instruction. Learning cycle 7E model is effective to remediate the students' misconceptions in the force material with the average of the proportion is 0,56 (moderate). The Learning cycle 7E model is expected to be used as an alternative remediation activities to overcome the number of students in understanding especially in physics material.Keyword: Misconception, remediation, learning cycle 7E, force
