- Abstrak : Penelitian ini berujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan model guided discovery learning dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan model konvensional, dan menentukan besarnya pengaruh model guided discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 2 Sungai Raya pada materi laju reaksi. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasy experiment design dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah nonequivalent control group design. Sampel dipilih berdasarkan teknik sampling jenuh. Alat pengumpul data penelitian adalah tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan model guided discovery learning dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan model konvensional. Penggunaan model guided discovery learning pada materi laju reaksi memberikan pengaruh sebesar 24,54% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci: Guided Discovery Learning, Aktivitas, Hasil Belajar, Laju Reaksi Abstract : The purpose of this research is to determine the differences of activity and learning outcomes of students who are taught using a model of guided discovery learning compared with the students taught using the conventional model, and determine the influence of guided discovery learning model of the learning outcomes 11th grade students of SMAN 2 Sungai Raya in the material reaction rate. Design of research is Quasy Experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Samples were selected based on saturated sampling technique. Tools of data collection were test, observation sheet, and guidelines for interview. The result of data analysis showed that there was difference of activity and learning outcomes between students who were taught using guided discovery learning model compared with students who were taught using conventional models. The use of guided discovery learning model to the material of reaction rate, influence of 24.54% toward improving student learning outcomes.
